The Ohio Beef Expo is truly a family weekend and this year is no exception. There are many events for youth happening throughout the weekend. The Ohio Beef Expo will close with the junior show, which continues to be one of the most competitive junior shows in the country.
The Ohio Beef Expo Judging Contest is Friday, March 15. Registration will begin at 8 a.m. in the Voinovich mezzanine. The pre-registration deadline for this event is March 8. The cost for an individual to participate is $5 and a team $15. After the March 8 deadline, the cost for individuals is $10 and for a team $30.

All registrations will be completed on-site on March 15 at the Expo.
As the junior show check-in wraps up Friday evening, exhibitors are invited to join in the Junior Show Welcome Party in Cooper Arena. The party will begin at 5:30 p.m. on Friday, March 15 and will run until the Weaver Leather fitting demonstration begins. The is event is open to all junior exhibitors.
Youth exhibitors will have the opportunity to learn from industry experts during this year's fitting demonstration. The fitting demonstration will be held on Friday, March 15 at the conclusion of the Junior Show Welcome Party in Cooper Arena. All are invited to attend.
Beef Quality Assurance
Youth Beef Quality Assurance training will once again be offered in conjunction with the Ohio Beef Expo. Concurrent sessions will be held on Friday, March 15, at 3:30 p.m. in Cooper Arena. BQA training is a requirement for the OCA BEST program. All participants will receive documentation of attendance and a copy of the document will be sent to the participant’s county. Some counties may require additional certification.
Three age divisions for BQA will be available: 8-11 (held in Ranahan's Cafe - corner of Gilligan Complex), 12-15 and 16-21 (both of the older age groups will be held in Cooper Arena).
